Windows key updating tool
The VEXnet v3.0 and newer firmware allows your PC to communicate using a new Serial Link with VEXnet products. The serial communication link requires this Driver to be installed on your PC.You can also still upgrade Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro by using a product key from a previous business edition of Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 (Pro/Ultimate).That can save you -100 in OEM upgrade charges if you buy a new PC with Windows 10 Home preinstalled.Everyone knows the free upgrade offer for Windows 10 ended on July 29, 2016, right? That's when Microsoft officially ended the Get Windows 10 program and, to the relief of many, stopped forcing the GWX tool onto the PCs of unsuspecting users who were perfectly happy with their current version of Windows and had no desire to upgrade. To fully unlock the potential of VEX Robotics VEXnet devices, it's important to ensure that all applicable drivers are installed and firmware is updated. This page should help you get your new system up to spec, or return a device to its default/factory state for a "clean slate." If your kit is newer than June 2012, use this driver.
Sadly, that period has long since passed, as the free upgrade progamme came to an end on 29 July 2016.
As a result, you'll now need to pay for Windows 10 if you want to upgrade to the new operating system.
Windows 10 definitely offers a significantly better experience than Windows 7 or Windows 8, but now it's no longer free, you'll need to decide whether you think it's worth it or not.
(For details, see How to upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro without hassles.) In this post, I'll cover the basics of a Windows 10 upgrade.
I'll also talk about the licensing issues involved, which are (as always) confusing.
